In new Microsoft Dynamics AX, Sharing the form with filtered data has been made very simple. In each form under options, a new menu item is added -> Get a link.
As shown in the above screen shot, I have applied the filter on the sales order list page. The copied web address looks like below:

The query filter is stored in URL after the parameter "q". This is a great way to keep your favorite in the browser itself.
You can navigate directly to your most frequently used forms with filters already applied in a single click which will increase the efficiency for sure.

Thanks for the great post!
ReplyDeleteSome questions that are popping-up in my mind based on this post:
- Is it possible to share the link with people outside of organization?
- As I understood this is a public share link, is it possible to restrict this using a given identity provider?
- Is it possible to get a list of all shared pages?
- Is it possible to disable the sharing afterwards?
- Is it possible to invalidate the share links and introduce new share links?
- Is it possible to inform the users that the share link will be invalidated by the adminisytrator?
Thank you for reading the post.
Delete- Is it possible to share the link with people outside of organization?

Ans: It is same as giving access to Dynamics AX iteslf. If you are authenticated via Azure active directoy and I assume if you have the access(via correct role), you can see the content.

Ans: No I do not see that possibility as it is only a copy-paste of URL.
Great info! I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have.
